This involves leading and working in the day-to-day operational activities as well as the strategic elements of Trade Control.<br><br>In this role you will......<br><ul><li>Leading the ECMS global trade control program and team by acting as a working manager who performs operational tasks but also oversees the overall implementation of the trade control program, which encompasses primarily export control globally, including the following types of regulations (US EAR, ITAR, Global Dual Use Regulations, Prior Informed Consent, Conflict Minerals, Drug Precursors, Chemical Weapons, Explosives, Sanction Party and Embargoes.</li><li>Assessing risk and assuring that the trade control program robustly addresses the risks associated with ECMS products and markets.</li><li>Assuring the trade control team is adequately trained to implement the trade control program and fulfill their defined duties.</li><li>Leading the organization and documentation of the program, procedures, due diligence and work instructions of the trade control activities to assure compliance and knowledge management.</li><li>Monitor performance and provide periodic updates to ECMS management.</li><li>Driving efficiencies and improvements, including collaboration with other functions (Ex. AML and Customs/Foreign Trade).</li><li>Global classifications against relevant trade control regulations for the countries in which ECMS does business.</li><li>Processing all export orders relevant to Trade Control issues. This includes the complete license management and ensuring compliance with the legal regulations by applying for permits and processing the orders in SAP-GTS.</li><li>Coordinating and obtaining relevant documents (e.g. end-use declarations, customer plausibility checks) for authority applications.</li><li>Act as lead for TC audits, both internal and external. </li><li>Acting as interface between business units and authorities for audits or potential compliance issues.</li></ul><br><br><strong>Your elements for success......</strong><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in science or supply chain required. Graduate degree is preferred.</li><li>10+ years experience in trade control, including global experience, not limited to regulations in just one region or country required.</li><li>Proficient in SAP S4 EHS and GTS systems required.</li><li>Experience leading people/team required.</li><li>Experience in creating and developing a global trade control program is desired.</li><li>Automotive industry experience, as well as experience in precious metals industries, a plus</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain operations and foreign trade processes required</li><li>Experience with various government portals and databases, as well as interacting with trade control authorities globally required </li><li>Experience with managing third party consultant resources preferred</li><li>Being a team player, with interest in international and multidisciplinary teams and strong communication skills.</li><li>Ability to communicate both written and verbally at all levels organizationally.</li><li>Knowledge of global regulations including regulations in APAC, EMEA and the Americas required.</li><li>Ability to read and understand/interpret regulations.</li><li>Strong communications skills and ability to collaborate and coordinate across multiple functions and at different levels of the organization.</li><li>Strategic thinking: Understanding of the ECMS products and business to understand what strategic importance changes in chemical regulations may have</li><li>Organizational knowledge</li><li>Leadership: Have a forward-thinking perspective, leading the team to think creatively and make informed decisions.
