<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>Join the natural gas logistics team and actively contribute to the entire lifecycle of a physical commodity. Schedule the transportation of natural gas across the continent while serving the operational needs of gas producers, power plants, and industrial end-users. Develop relationships with North American pipelines, storage operators, and our clients to ensure natural gas flows are accurate, timely and cost-effective each day. Work on a trading floor in a fast-paced environment in collaboration with trading and sales. Contribute to a group that places a premium on cross-training, entrepreneurial spirit, and a “team-first” attitude.<br><br>Members of the natural gas logistics team are highly visible participants in a dynamic marketplace. Our actions, attention to detail, and market savvy have a direct impact on one of the firm’s fastest growing business units. The team is responsible for timely and accurate submission of data to the respective system / market operators. In addition to our core physical scheduling role, the team also manages the firm’s physical assets and inventory. We coordinate projects to access new areas of the natural gas market. We provide our observations on flows in the marketplace against current and future commercial opportunities.<br><br><strong>Primary Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li> Work closely with trading and sales teams to optimize and schedule the flow of natural gas across North America. </li><li> Develop expertise and proficiency on natural gas pipeline and storage infrastructure. </li><li> Provide trading and sales teams with timely and accurate market data and analysis. </li><li> Communicate with external counterparties and clients to co-ordinate contract information and ensure proper deal execution. </li><li> Become a proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities. </li><li> Liaise with Settlements, Documentation, Middle Office, Legal, Compliance, Credit, Technology, Tax, Insurance, Regulatory Reporting & relevant external bodies. </li><li> Provide logistics comments in a variety of areas including new trade ideas, system enhancements, and contract language. </li><li> Participate in ongoing refinement of team procedures and processes to support the developing business. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Basic Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Commerce or Business. </li><li> Experience working in fast paced environment with high stress deadlines. </li><li> Experience working in a team environment, subbing in and out of multiple tasks. </li><li> Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills. </li><li> Strong technical and analytical skills. </li><li> The candidate must be available for work every fourth weekend and occasional holidays. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Proactive, self-starting individual with high levels of ownership. </li><li> Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to be clear and concise. </li><li> Aptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal clients with differing levels of product experience. </li><li> Ability to innovate, adapt, and develop new processes to serve our evolving business. </li><li> Highly motivated and ability to coach others in technical areas and problem solving. </li><li> Focus on control issues, processes, and procedures.</li></ul>
