Floating Pricing Assistant
Position: Floating Pricing Assistant
Pay Grade: 3
Basic Function: Main focus is to support non-Apparel Pricers by loading, tagging, and dispersing priced product to correct sales channels, as well as sorting and/or cleaning product for Pricers. Secondary function is to assist Apparel Distribution.
General Responsibilities:
- Non-Apparel Distribution
- Can include, but is not limited to the following categories from both Baggage and Cargo Loads: Books, General Merchandise, Electronics, Shoes, Accessories
- Assist Pricer on loading table.
- Clean or sort product while loading the table, paying special attention to Quality.
- Tag, inspect, and check all product processed by price.
- Put security tags on items priced $20.00 and up.
- After tagging, separate all product and distribute to proper bins for the Sales floor, to High Value, to backstock, or to other Sales Channels.
- Assist Pricer by grab-bagging items.
- Assist Pricer in Backstocking items as needed.
- Pre-sort miscellaneous General Merchandise
- Check thoroughly for drugs, content, and quality
- Remove any plastic wrapping
- Repackage product as needed.
- Communicate respectfully with all Pricers on any mistakes found.
- Maintain knowledge of current vendor load.
Apparel Distribution:
- Tag, inspect, and check all garments processed by size and price.
- Put security tags on items priced $20.00 and up ($50.00 and up for coats).
- After tagging, separate and hang all clothing on correct racks for sales floor, eComm, backstock, Jennifer Racks, or high value.
- After tagging, separate items on the rack by size.
- Communicate respectfully with Apparel Pricers on any mistakes found on racks.
- Maintain knowledge of current vendor load.
Basic Data Entry:
- Utilize Data Entry Program to enter data for basic items with price points pre-determined by management (Bulk Cargo items, or grab-bagged items with set price points).
- Help clean and sort items from Baggage Openers as needed.
- Clean and sort eyewear and sunglasses; grab-bag readers as necessary.
- Remove keys and keyfobs from keychains; send fobs and individual keychains to Pricing; bin generic keychains.
- Follow SOP to sort personal documents that contain banking, social security, or other sensitive information.
- Sort Jewelry and send to Jewelry Processing; log loads on a sheet.
- Separate sellable and non-sellable DVDs; clean and send sellables to Pricing.
- Separate electronics cords and earbuds; wrap neatly.
- Remove photos from photo albums and discard photos.
- Quality Control- Be able to determine what needs to be priced or sent to other avenues
- Keep work area clean and organized using LEAN and 5S standards
- Other duties assigned by management
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift light to moderately weighted items
- Repetitive hand/wrist motion required
Scheduled Hours:
- 40 hour week, 6:00am – 2:30pm Mon-Fri with mandatory overtime as needed
- Mandatory Days include: Fridays preceding Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Winter Event; Saturday before Thanksgiving; business day before Fourth of July.
- Will be required to work one holiday a year on the Retail Sales Floor
