Grade 6: (Spine Points 18-20) - £35,517-£36,582 per annum (NJC Outer London)

Grade B1: (Spine Points 20-25) - £32,597-£36,363 per annum (NJC England and Wales )

Contract: Full-Time and Fixed Term (Two years)

Location: Medway Hub Schools and Central Team Office, as well as opportunities to work from home

Hours per Week: 37 Hours per Week, 52 Weeks per Year (Monday-Thursday - 09:00am - 5:30pm, Friday - 09:00am - 5:00pm)

To support our mission, the Finance Officer will join our growing Central Team, providing essential services to our Medway schools and the Central Finance function. This is an exciting time to join the Trust as we strengthen professional operational support for our schools, offering exceptional opportunities for candidates seeking to progress their finance career.

The Role

The successful candidate will join the Trust's Central Finance team, collaborating closely with the Trust Finance Leads, Trust Financial Accountant, Finance Business Partner, Headteachers, and budget holders. This role is responsible for the efficient processing of finance transactions for our Medway, Kent schools and Central Team office. Work will be split between one of the Medway schools (which will act as a base) and required monthly attendance for Central Team meetings at Tower Bridge, London.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone seeking to progress their finance career in the not-for-profit sector. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, quick learner with strong attention to detail and the confidence to establish themselves as a key contributor to the schools and the Trust Finance Team. Ideally you will have significant experience of financial administration and highly computer literate with strong Excel skills and knowledge of accounting systems e.g. IRIS (PSF).
