The Role

The team..

Our Record to Report (RTR) Core Accounting team sits within ITV's Group Finance Operations function and plays a vital role in supporting the acquisition of content across ITV's Media & Entertainment channels.

We are a small, collaborative team managing high volumes of finance queries, payments and reconciliations in a fast-paced environment. We work closely with Purchase to Pay, Business Affairs, Scheduling, Legal, Rights and external producers to ensure accurate and timely financial processing and issue resolution.

The team thrives on problem-solving, continuous improvement and working together to deliver high standards of service across the business.

The role..

As a Finance Coordinator within our RTR Core Accounting team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and compliant financial management of ITV's content acquisition activity. Reporting into the RTR Manager - Core, you will act as a key point of contact for finance queries, supporting stakeholders across the business while ensuring payments, purchase orders and financial records are managed accurately and efficiently.

This role sits at the heart of a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is ideal for someone with a strong Accounts Payable background who enjoys problem-solving, investigating discrepancies and driving issues through to resolution. You'll work collaboratively across Finance, Business Affairs, Legal and external producers, helping to ensure ITV's financial processes operate with clarity, pace and control.

Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Raising programme purchase orders and managing the associated receipting process
  • Reviewing invoices against contracts, agreements and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Cross-checking, approving and releasing invoices for payment, liaising regularly with external producers
  • Managing and resolving high volumes of finance queries and escalations, identifying root causes and implementing solutions
  • Investigating variances and discrepancies, escalating where appropriate and ensuring timely resolution
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met accurately
  • Updating financial systems (including ERP and stock systems) with accurate and timely information
  • Collaborating with Purchase to Pay, Record to Report, Business Affairs, Scheduling and Legal teams to support smooth financial operations

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

  • Proven Accounts Payable experience, including query handling and issue resolution (not solely invoice processing)
  • Strong understanding of PR/PO processes and purchase ledger controls
  • Experience analysing financial data using Excel or Google Sheets (e.g. reconciliations, variance analysis)
  • Experience using large ERP systems and Microsoft or Google Suite

Other things we're looking for (key criteria)

  • A natural problem solver who enjoys investigating issues and identifying efficient solutions
  • Resilient and comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across multiple teams
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated and able to manage workload independently without close supervision
  • Comfortable working through change and supportive of transformation and automation initiatives
  • Collaborative team player who actively contributes to a positive, solutions-focused culture
  • Calm and composed under pressure, particularly during month-end and peak periods

Please note, on occasion we may receive a very large volume of applications which means applications for a role may close earlier than the referenced closing date. We'd encourage you to apply as soon as possible if interested.
