Eurofins offers a portfolio of over 200,000 analytical methods to evaluate the safety, identity, composition, authenticity, origin, traceability and purity of biological substances and products.</strong><br><br><strong>Job Description</strong><br><br>As a Senior Field Engineer you will conduct on-site Field Evaluations of electrical equipment for compliance to regulatory product safety standards (UL, NFPA, CSA, ANSI, etc.). Perform construction and engineering review of electrical equipment in a multitude of industries (manufacturing, laboratory, medical, commercial, retail, food service, etc.). 100% travel both domestic and internationally, though majority of travel will be within the lower 48 (must possess or be able to obtain a passport). <br><br>Territory: San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Las Vegas, NV; Phoenix, AZ.<br><br><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br><br>The Senior Field Engineers' duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<br><ul><li>Perform Field Evaluations under the Eurofins E&E North America/MET Labs Field Labeling program</li><li>Review scope of work and identify all necessary items prior to arranging travel</li><li>Responsible for coordinating all travel arrangements</li><li>Communicate with client, AHJ, contractors, and other relevant parties</li><li>Identify applicability of national codes and standards</li><li>Review manuals, schematics, BOMs, site procedures, data sheets and more</li><li>Document construction details and any non-conformances during the inspection</li><li>Assess compliance to the relevant UL, NFPA, CSA, or ANSI standards</li><li>Determine eligibility of equipment for labeling and issue all final reports</li><li>Submit all expenses and necessary documentation for billing</li><li>Meet or exceed minimum billing goals while meeting project deadlines</li><li>Grow relationships with clients and promote our company and the various services we offer</li></ul><br><br><strong>Qualifications</strong><br><br>The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills, and personal attributes:<br><ul><li>Electrical Engineering Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or equivalent experience.</li><li><strong>MUST</strong> have direct Field Engineering experience with a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) or Field Evaluation Body (FEB) using product safety standards.</li><li>Experience as a Follow-Up Inspector is not relevant unless there is experience performing multiple UL 508A training seminars.</li><li>Conversant with UL 508A, UL 61010-1, UL 73, NFPA 70, & NFPA 79.</li><li>Though not required, experience with Hazardous Location and CSA standards is desired.</li><li>Must have strong technical writing skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills as the candidate will interact with customers on many different levels.</li><li>Must be able to work in elevated and/or confined spaces. Must be able to lift 30+ pounds.</li><li>This position requires a strong electrical background and understanding of electrical systems.</li><li>Must possess sound problem-solving skills.</li><li>Skillful ability to work independently.</li><li>Demonstrated ability working with diverse populations and communities.</li></ul><br>Work Remotely<br><ul><li>Position is entirely remote.
