FedEx Delivery Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves safely delivering packages to customers while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial driving, route driving, and handling various delivery equipment. This position requires a responsible individual capable of managing heavy lifting, moving items, and operating delivery vehicles efficiently.

Please Note: The work schedule for this role is Friday through Monday; therefore, candidates must be available to work weekends!

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate box trucks and other delivery vehicles
  • Load and unload packages at the warehouse to and from the trucks
  • Deliver packages to residential and commercial customers following assigned routes
  • Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining high customer service standards
  • Assist with route planning and navigation to optimize delivery efficiency
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
  • Handle heavy lifting of packages and move items as needed during deliveries
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain signatures when required
  • Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during route driving

Skills

  • Proven experience as a courier or delivery driver, preferably with FedEx or similar courier services
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands of the job
  • Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices
  • Familiarity with route driving, navigation tools, and time management skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver license preferred if applicable
  • Experience in warehouse environments or with moving tasks is beneficial
