Experienced Front End Lead Part Time Opportunity in Retail Operations and Customer Service at BJ's Wholesale Club in Mecklenburg, NY

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Front End Lead to join our team on a part-time basis in Mecklenburg, NY. As a Front End Lead, you will play a critical role in overseeing the frontline operations, coaching and developing team members, and ensuring excellent member service. You will be responsible for driving membership metrics, member engagement, speed, and productivity on the front end, while maintaining a safe and positive environment for both team members and members. Key Responsibilities Supervise the front line, including cashiers, SCO, and membership desk, in the absence of the Front End Manager Model and provide excellent member service, while coaching, teaching, and developing team members to do the same Drive membership metrics through acquisition, retention, loyalty, and experience programs Train, coach, motivate, recognize, and provide input on evaluation of frontline team members on tasks, responsibilities, and expectations Utilize Cashier Observation Forms, Cashier Productivity Boards, and membership metrics reports to drive performance and member engagement Perform front-end responsibilities, including closing through POS, and member escalated service issues Act with a sense of urgency to ensure members are assisted in a timely and efficient manner Assist members with operations and technical difficulties Collect payments via cash, check, or other charge payments from customers Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to members Stay up-to-date on all merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information Discount purchases by scanning and redeeming coupons Supervise the cleanliness of the front of club member servicing areas Ability to navigate within system applications and utilize online task management system (MyWork) to manage workflow, track, and monitor daily club operations Essential Qualifications Prior leadership experience preferred Prior membership or sales knowledge and experience preferred Prior cashier experience preferred Basic math skills required Preferred Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds and move heavy and/or awkward objects greater than 30 pounds with assistance Skills and Competencies Leadership and team management skills Excellent customer service skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Basic math skills and ability to operate a point-of-sale system Ability to navigate within system applications and utilize online task management system (MyWork) Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At BJ's Wholesale Club, we are committed to providing our team members with opportunities for growth and development.
