Key Responsibilities Respond to telephone and email inquiries from members and providers within defined service standards, ensuring timely and effective resolutions. Negotiate with providers to gain acceptance for plans without network agreements and/or out-of-network providers, utilizing strong analytical and research skills. Assist members with benefits and healthcare questions, providing clear and concise information to ensure a thorough understanding of their options. Document all calls received in a system-based call log, maintaining accurate and detailed records of customer interactions. Take initiative to resolve situations and accomplish project actions and tasks, demonstrating independent judgment and decision-making skills. Build strong relationships with internal and external customers, including providers and members, to ensure a positive and supportive experience. Essential Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of college or higher education preferred. One year of customer service or call center experience in a health care-related role, with medical intake or Third-Party Administrator (TPA) experience preferred. Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a plus, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customer groups. Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations tactfully and diplomatically. Proficient with arenaflex applications, strong computer skills, and computer navigation, with excellent data entry and typing skills. Knowledge of provider organizations and networks, as well as CMS Medicare reimbursement rates, with the ability to effectively negotiate rate structures. Preferred Qualifications Medical terminology and understanding of self-funded health benefits, claim processing skills, and insurance verification or pre-certification experience are highly desirable. Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to anticipate potential needs and problems, and take initiative to resolve situations. Experience working in a provider office, facility billing department, or financial area, with a strong understanding of the health care industry and its complexities.
