About the Position This is a remote position open to any qualified applicant in the United States, with the possibility of travel to Novato, CA, as needed, until September 2025, followed by a period of 40-60% onsite work for approximately 5 months during the Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q) phase. As an Automation Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing high-profile projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining productive relationships with clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Create and manage execution plans, timelines, project controls, and deliverables to ensure successful project outcomes. Manage staffing and resource needs to maximize potential for project success. Define project objectives, scope, and stakeholder involvement, both internally and externally. Conduct thorough risk analysis to mitigate unforeseen obstacles and costs. Develop detailed project schedules, parameters, and budget expectations. Conduct regular scope, schedule, and bolthires reviews using industry best practices to identify necessary adjustments. Measure project performance and progress throughout the campaign execution. Manage client and stakeholder expectations to maintain engaged and productive relationships. Document project activities, obstacles, costs, and results for future reference and improvement. Delegate project tasks and duties according to team members' strengths and experience. Prepare and communicate project progress reports to key stakeholders and governance forums. Provide summarized project plan documentation to departmental managers, clients, and other stakeholders as needed. Engage in continuous learning to stay up-to-date with industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging standards. Collaborate with and lead teams to deliver results on schedule and within budget limits. Promote a culture of execution excellence, collaboration, effective communication, and cross-functional problem-solving. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as a scientific or technical discipline, with a minimum of seven years of experience in project management. Understanding of biotech or drug product development is required. Proficiency with industry-standard project management tools and software. Demonstrated ability to organize and update complex schedules. Strong risk management analysis skills. Experience with client management and internal departmental communications. Proven track record of successful project management. Strong technical background in the industry.
