Part-time · Remote on Zoom About InSeason Marketing InSeason Marketing is a fast-growing HVAC marketing agency serving distributors, private-equity groups, and multi-location dealers. We produce high-volume, high-accuracy creative assets weekly, including social media content, dealer guides, emails, landing pages, training materials, and digital campaigns. Accuracy and polish are non-negotiable. We need a dedicated editor to safeguard quality as our workload scales. Duties • You will be the final checkpoint before content reaches our clients. • Your job is to ensure zero mistakes leave the agency. This includes: • Proofread and edit all client-facing content (email, captions, expiration dates, equipment-to-mfg accuracy, social posts, guides, PDFs, decks, landing pages, flyers, postcards, digital ads, etc.) • Verify correct terminology for HVAC, IAQ, and distributor-specific language • Check accuracy of dates, times, event details, promotions, and disclaimers • Validate file names, structure, and consistency with our internal standards • Identify inconsistencies in templates, fonts, formatting, spacing, and layout • Check for tone alignment within each brand • Flag anything that looks “off” before it hits clients • Work inside Asana to manage revisions Requirements • Must provide relevant references • Preferably based on the East Coast /Midwest • Proven experience in proofreading, copy editing, or editing roles • Strong command of English language conventions and style guides (AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style) • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback • Exceptional writing skills with an eye for detail and accuracy • Knowledge of fact-checking techniques and research methods • Experience with journalism, copywriting, proposal writing, or technical writing is preferred • Proficiency in word processing software and editing tools • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines • Experience reviewing design layouts for accuracy Strongly preferred: • HVAC terminology familiarity • Experience in email marketing, social media, or creative agencies • Ability to work with PDFs, arenaflex Docs, Canva, and Adobe files Job Type: Contract Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 per week Application Question(s): • Have you worked in an ad/marketing agency as a proofreader before?
