E-commerce Data & Product Listing Administrator

We are looking for a detail-driven E-commerce Data & Product Listing Administrator to support our growing online retail operations.
This role focuses on data capturing, image comparison, product listing creation, and general administrative support across multiple online marketplaces.

Accuracy, consistency, and the ability to spot small differences in product details and images are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Data Capture & Verification

  • Capture and update product data accurately across spreadsheets and internal systems
  • Verify SKUs, product names, specifications, barcodes, pricing, and quantities
  • Cross-check supplier data against internal records and marketplace listings
  • Maintain clean, structured data with strong attention to detail

Image Comparison & Product Validation

  • Compare product images against physical items, supplier images, or marketplace listings
  • Identify discrepancies such as incorrect colour, model, accessories, packaging, or branding
  • Ensure images match the correct product variant (size, colour, model, version)
  • Flag inconsistencies or potential listing errors before products go live

Product Listing Creation & Maintenance

  • Create and update product listings for online marketplaces and internal systems
  • Write clear, accurate product titles, bullet points, and descriptions
  • Capture and format key product attributes such as:
  • Dimensions, weight, materials
  • Colour variants and model differences
  • Compatibility, usage instructions, and key features
  • Ensure listings comply with marketplace requirements and brand standards
  • Upload and manage product images, ensuring correct naming and placement

General Administrative Support

  • Assist with day-to-day admin tasks related to products, orders, and returns
  • Organise product documentation, manuals, and reference files
  • Support internal teams with data requests and listing updates
  • Maintain organised digital folders and records

Required Skills & Experience Essential

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets (Google Sheets / Excel)
  • Ability to visually compare images and detect small differences
  • Basic understanding of online product listings or e-commerce platforms
  • Good written communication skills
  • Ability to follow processes and work independently

Advantageous (Not Mandatory)

  • Experience with Amazon, Takealot, Shopify, or similar platforms
  • Experience creating or maintaining product listings
  • Understanding of product variations (colour, size, model, bundles)
  • Familiarity with SKUs, barcodes, and inventory data
  • Basic image handling (renaming, organising, checking resolution)
