Department Overview Silvus Technologies was acquired by Motorola Solutions in 2025, and is now part of its ecosystem of safety and security technologies. With deep roots in DARPA research, Silvus Technologies develops world-class advanced communications technologies that are reshaping the tactical communications landscape. From pure line-of-sight to extreme non-line-of-sight, Silvus radios form a self-healing, self-forming mesh network, enabling secure and reliable connectivity, including video and high-bandwidth data. Job Description THE OPPORTUNITY Silvus is seeking a Director of Sales, Canada who will report to the Senior Director of Sales on the Sales team. The successful individual in this role will focus on interfacing with customers to create, advance and close opportunities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on sales executive who excels at taking opportunities from RFQ to close and building strong relationships with customers. This position is 100% remote depending on location; candidates must be based in Canada to be eligible. With a preference for an individual in the Ottawa/Gatineau Region. The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for sales, strategic account planning, and overall relationship management for Silvus’ Canadian customers. Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan for each “target” account and their buying centers covering the full portfolio of Silvus solutions. Assemble and coordinate a diverse team of internal & external sales resources to assess customers’ needs and address their requirements. Act as a trusted advisor to influence customer’s technology platform decisions. Proactively engage and lead channel partners in selling Silvus products and services to customers buying centers where appropriate. Develop strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers within various commands and program offices. Contribute to building a robust pipeline of near-term business opportunities. Regularly update the CRM database with an accurate forecast. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Silvus' MIMO solutions to effectively communicate their value and benefits, conduct demonstrations, and support customer events. Travel Requirements – Up to 50% of the time, but variable. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree (ideally in Engineering) from an accredited university; OR a Technical college diploma with at least 6 years of relevant technical sales and leadership experience. Demonstrated record of success in Canadian Government or military sales, particularly with a technical product and / or prior Canadian military and / or Canadian Law Enforcement experience with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility. Solid understanding of Canadian federal markets including procurement processes. Strong communication (oral, written, presentation) and technical demonstration skills. Experience utilizing strategic account management practices. Ability to quickly learn new key characteristics of products/solutions and communicate the value of those solutions to customers. Excellent negotiation skills. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with C-Level executives. This is a remote position based in Canada; must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in Canada (SIN required) and must be a Canadian citizen All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Minimum 4 years of demonstrated sales experience in a technical field. Experience managing the full sales cycle (RFQ, proposals, closing) for Canadian customers. Knowledge of military C5ISR, EW, or SIGINT applications. Track record of successful sales of MANET and/or radio solutions. Experience working with resellers and distributors. Leadership, management, and program management experience. Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in English and French.
