Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a box truck with air brakes to deliver orders across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Pick, pack, and load customer orders with precision, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of items
  • Load and unload shipments using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, lifting heavy items as needed
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain safety standards and report any issues promptly
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by communicating clearly, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction
  • Follow route schedules efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining a professional appearance
  • Assist with warehouse tasks including inventory management, manual lifting, moving stock within the facility, and maintaining organized storage areas

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) with air brake endorsement preferred but not required
  • Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier, especially using box trucks or similar vehicles
  • Experience working in warehouses or handling heavy lifting, moving goods, or operating forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Strong knowledge of driving safety practices, route planning, and load securing techniques
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Ability to perform manual tasks involving heavy lifting and physical activity throughout the shift
  • Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus but not mandatory
