Data Center Technician Overnight Shift (Graveyard/Evening Coverage)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain stable, secure, and high-performing data center operations during non-standard hours
  • Conduct diagnostics and repair on server and network hardware
  • Perform root cause analysis of hardware/software failures and implement corrective actions
  • Provide overnight on-the-ground support for incidents and maintenance activities
  • Document troubleshooting procedures, fixes, and operational knowledge
  • Support ongoing infrastructure deployments by assembling and installing equipment
  • Execute inventory management and update asset tracking systems
  • Collaborate with day shift teams for continuity and handoff of unresolved issues
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and assist with after-hours support when needed
  • Travel to other CoreWeave data center sites occasionally, as required

Requirements

  • Experience with hardware assembly, diagnostics, and repair
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently during off-hours and escalate issues appropriately
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in high or tight spaces (reasonable accommodations available)
  • Willingness to work an overnight or rotating shift, including weekends and holidays as needed

Nice-to-haves

  • Data center operations experience, preferably in a 24/7 environment
  • Computer networking knowledge (e.g., routing, switching)
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
  • Associate's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in IT, Computer Science, or related field
