Make Trail or Rossland your home and live where you work and play!<br><br><strong>Practice Details<br><br></strong>The KBRH ICU group is currently recruiting for a part-time/full-time Critical Care position, 9-14 weeks per year. We are a 7-bed unit that functions both as a full-service ICU as well as HAU/CCU. We are currently provide a week of coverage at a time, with two nights cross covered per week.<br><br><strong>The Successful Applicant Is Expected To<br><br></strong><ul><li> Provide 24/7 coverage for 9-14 weeks per year, evenly spaced throughout the year. During coverage, it is required to be in close proximity to the hospital at all times.</li><li> Permanently relocate full-time to the West Kootenay region, to encourage participation in a regular cross coverage schedule and contribute to medical staff and community. Must reside within 30 minutes of KBRH while on ICU call.</li><li> Teach medical students and residents during their ICU rotations.</li><li> Participate in administrative work and quality improvement projects, to continuously improve the quality of our ICU.</li><li> Potentially be able to provide additional services to the region, depending on their base specialty. There are currently openings in general internal medicine, and ED.<br><br></li></ul>The West Kootenay region offers unparalleled outdoor recreation, including world class alpine and Nordic skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and golf.
