Cost Management Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure financial statements accurately represent operational results and company financial position.
  • Support management teams with financial analysis for informed decision-making.
  • Record, monitor, report, and communicate financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage product costing, review variances, and communicate findings to business/plant management.
  • Conduct reviews of product inventory and fixed assets.
  • Provide financial analysis for project studies, options analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Facilitate the budget setting process and monthly/quarterly estimates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with various functions and sub-processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration OR relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class, Sergeant ranking or higher.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience.
  • Legal ability to work in Canada (no visa sponsorship/support available).
  • CPA designation is preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in cost management or accounting is desirable.
