The Role

We are seeking a skilled Content Writer (Freelance) with strong experience in e-commerce and SaaS to own end-to-end content creation across key channels and elevate our messaging. This role is based in New York, NY, works ~20 hours per week, and requires availability during East Coast hours. You’ll have the opportunity to shape core messaging for a cutting-edge product and own the voice of the brand across channels while collaborating with a supportive, cross-functional team.


What You’ll Do:
  • Own end-to-end content creation across eko’s key channels, including:
    • Website and landing pages
    • Case studies and blog posts
    • Social media content
    • Sales enablement materials
  • Translate Eko’s product capabilities and technology into clear, compelling, benefit-driven messaging tailored to e-commerce and marketing audiences
  • Maintain and evolve Eko’s brand voice and messaging consistency across all content touchpoints
  • Support demand generation and growth efforts by crafting high-impact copy and microcopy for campaigns, emails, and product launches
  • Ensure all content is optimized for SEO and GEO to increase qualified demand, organic visibility, and brand awareness
  • Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and leadership teams to align content with positioning and ICP needs
  • Turn complex ideas, data, and insights into simple, engaging narratives that drive understanding and action
  • Proactively identify content gaps and contribute strategic ideas, not just executions
  • Uphold high standards of quality, clarity, and consistency across all materials

Our Ideal Candidate Has:
  • 5–10 years of professional content writing experience, ideally with a focus on e-commerce and SaaS
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and content optimization
  • Excellent storytelling skills with meticulous attention to tone, grammar, and detail
  • Proven ability to create compelling, benefit-driven copy across multiple formats
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience contributing to demand generation and growth initiatives
  • Must be available to work East Coast hours
