Job Description

The Content Marketing Specialist is the visual voice and lead storyteller for the NUS MBA, NUS EMBA, and UCLA-NUS EMBA programmes. This role is responsible for the end-to-end creation and management of high-impact multimedia content designed to drive student recruitment, elevate brand prestige, and foster lifelong alumni engagement. Beyond execution, this role serves as a "creative laboratory," leveraging emerging technologies (AI) and social media trends to ensure NUS remains a global leader in business education marketing.


Integrated Content Strategy and Brand Storytelling

  • The Narrative Engine: Conceptualize and execute a cross-platform content strategy that addresses the entire student lifecycle, from awareness (branding) to conversion (admissions) and advocacy (alumni).
  • Storytelling: Proactively interview and profile students, faculty, and C-suite alumni to translate the "NUS Experience" into compelling success stories and thought-leadership content.
  • Multi-Programme Customization: Tailor content tone and visual aesthetics to suit different demographics, ranging from young professionals (MBA) to senior executives (EMBA/UCLA-NUS).


Multimedia Production (The "One-Person Studio")

  • Video Production: End-to-end filming and editing of short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, LinkedIn Highlights) and testimonials.
  • Graphic Design: Design high-end digital and print assets, including social media banners, event posters, recruitment brochures, and EDM artworks.
  • AI Integration: Pioneer the use of Generative AI tools (image/video/copy) to optimize creative workflows and experiment with innovative storytelling formats.


Social Media and Ecosystem Management

  • Platform Ownership: Manage the daily operations of global social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, WeChat), ensuring high engagement and brand consistency.
  • Alumni Engagement: Collaborate with the programme leads to create content that celebrates alumni/students achievements, fostering a strong sense of community and school pride.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay ahead of digital trends, platform algorithm changes, and competitor activities to keep NUS marketing fresh and relevant.


Strategic Collaboration and Performance Optimization

  • Creative Support for Ads: Partner with the Performance Marketing Specialist to design and iterate on ad creatives based on data-driven feedback and A/B testing.
  • Event Support: Provide creative direction and on-site multimedia coverage (photography/live-posting) for recruitment events and info sessions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Multimedia, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of professional experience in content marketing, social media management, or creative production.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating diverse skills in video editing, graphic design, and professional copywriting is mandatory.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

  • Multimedia Suite: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or Final Cut Pro. High proficiency in mobile editing tools (e.g., CapCut).
  • Visual Aesthetics: A sharp eye for premium design, typography, and "brand-first" visual storytelling suitable for an elite business school environment.
  • AI Savvy: Hands-on experience or high interest in utilizing AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, Canva Magic Studio) to enhance creative output.
  • Social Media Mastery: Deep understanding of LinkedIn, Instagram, and WeChat ecosystems, including analytics and audience growth strategies.

Soft Skills and Mindset

  • Creative Autonomy: A self-starter who is open to new ideas and willing to experiment with unconventional marketing approaches.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills to confidently interact with senior faculty, high-profile alumni, and corporate partners.
