Please note that this is not a people leader position, you will be managing full scale audits. This position will be on Internal Audit’s Nationwide Technology (NT) team. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to focus on audits pertaining to Nationwide’s IT infrastructure, operations, and ongoing information security measures. Performing both assurance and advisory engagements, you will focus on the underlying servers, databases, operating systems, and associated infrastructure that supports Nationwide’s business. Additionally, you will assist in integrated audits of the Property & Casualty and Financial Services businesses, as well as corporate functions, in order to provide guidance on and assess IT specific risks. Whether you’re an experienced auditor or have built a career in the information and technology industry, you can grow your current skills and stretch into new areas as a member of the Internal Audit NT team! Proven ability to plan, execute, and close projects within a defined scope, time, and budget, utilizing strong organizational skills, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple projects concurrently. This is a hybrid position located in Columbus Ohio and you will be required to come into the office two days per week. This role does not qualify for employer sponsored work authorization. As a Consultant, you'll be a leader with vision, participating in critical initiatives and helping drive continuous improvement to our processes and standards. You'll serve as a project manager for assurance and advisory engagements, leading engagements from planning through reporting, including the performance of engagement staff. We'll count on you to successfully navigate constantly evolving business environments and related risks. Responsibilities • Demonstrate high-energy, flexibility, time management and strong communication skill by leading multiple assurance or advisory engagements at a time. • Lead engagements with an expert level knowledge of auditing techniques and according to professional and internal standards. This includes identification of key information technology infrastructure, operations and security risks and controls for engagement plan, overseeing and reviewing work performed by engagement staff, summarizing issues, recommendations and conclusions in the engagement report and managing client relations. At times, performs engagement tasks of the highest complexity. • Uses analytics and data visualization tools to perform full population testing. • Identifies new ways to audit through data analytics, continuous auditing, or other technologies. • Manages engagement teams of approximately one to 10 associates. • Assists with resource management activities for each engagement and provides valuable, real-time coaching and feedback to team members on both soft and technical audit skills. • Drives ongoing risk assessments which serve as an input to the risk-based audit plan. • Develops relationships across the enterprise to provide outstanding care to all customers and serves as a trusted business advisor to clients, internal risk partners, and others. • Drives office initiatives and serve as a change-agent, encourages the unit to be more agile and innovative. • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in business, technical or related field preferred. Advanced degrees are preferred. • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, PMP) desired. • Typically, more than six years of dynamic experience in audit, risk management or a related field.
