About the Role

As a Plant Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our concrete production facilities. You’ll work independently and as part of a team, handling a variety of maintenance and repair tasks that keep our plants, equipment, and workspaces in top shape. This is a hands-on position ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on ready-mix concrete plants and related equipment.
  • Maintain building interiors and exteriors, including basic repairs and upkeep.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization in shops, offices, and restrooms.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for emergency repairs beyond routine maintenance.
  • Promote and practice safe work habits; proactively identify and address safety hazards.
  • Operate and move company vehicles as needed within the city.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, keeping work areas and equipment clean and orderly at all times.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned to support plant operations.
  • Demonstrate dependable and reliable attendance.


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on plant maintenance/repair, preferably in ready-mix or concrete production environments.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical, welding, fabricating, cutting, plumbing, conveyor belt installation/repair, and electrical abilities. Experience with pneumatic air systems is highly valued.
  • Licenses: Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) strongly preferred.
  • Availability: Ability to be on call 24/7 with your own set of hand tools.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and interpret warning labels, instructions, safety signage, and similar information.


Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.
  • Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed.
  • Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
  • Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
  • Reasonable accommodations provided as necessary to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
