(HIAA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to strengthening communities across Appalachia. Founded in West Virginia, HIAA serves communities connected by Appalachian culture, history, and shared systems of care.</p><p><br></p><p>Our team strengthens collaboration by bridging advanced systems with grassroots, community-driven efforts. We build networks of support, grow effective initiatives, and help scale successful programs from one community to another.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p><span>The Collaboration Specialist coordinates and facilitates bimonthly meetings with cross-sector, cross-regional professionals, using SAMHSA’s best-practice coalition-building model. This role maintains and nurtures relationships with key stakeholders, expands collaborative engagement, and manages communications via social media, website, and email. The specialist also plans and executes the annual wellness summit, ensures program metrics are met, and prepares quarterly progress reports.</span></p><p><br></p><p>This position will also support funding efforts by identifying grant opportunities, assisting with contract solicitations, and promoting the organization’s initiatives to partners and stakeholders.
