Clinical Account Executive - Remote - Accredo - (Health Plan Specialty)

About the position

The Pharmacy Clinical Consulting (IC) Advisor is a key member of the Evernorth Pharmacy Payer Sales and Account Management team, responsible for managing strategic relationships between Accredo and Express Scripts Health Plan clients. This role supports Evernorth Pharmacy sales and solutions, driving volume and revenue growth in Specialty, Home Delivery, and Fertility business segments. The Advisor serves as a client expert, sales support resource, and internal leader, helping the team deliver on financial targets, strategic insights, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management Serve as the primary contact for Accredo, maintaining and growing client relationships to ensure retention and satisfaction. Build strong partnerships with consultants, benefit advisors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution Develop and monitor complex, client-specific strategic plans, adjusting as needed to meet evolving client and business needs. Identify and execute specialty business solutions that support enterprise growth and client retention.
  • Growth & Retention Lead complex client renewals and expansions, demonstrating subject matter expertise to drive revenue growth. Negotiate effectively in challenging situations and gain support from cross-functional teams.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership Coordinate activities of the Account Management team and extended partners (service delivery, finance, operations) to achieve client strategic objectives and resolve escalated service issues.
  • Business Insight Apply deep knowledge of business drivers, market trends, and industry innovations to guide actions and advance organizational goals. Stay current on policies, practices, and competitive landscape.
  • Leadership & Mentorship Share best practices and industry standards with peers and clients. Lead process improvement initiatives and mentor Associate Account Executives, including interviewing prospective candidates.
  • Sales Support Act as liaison between Express Scripts account teams and product teams to facilitate adoption of pharmacy solutions and drive volume and profitability.

Requirements

  • Current U.S. Pharmacist License
  • Minimum of 3 years licensure experience preferred
  • 2 plus years of Client facing experience preferred
  • Technically savvy (ChatGPT, Microsoft applications, internal systems).
  • Quick study, high energy, self-starter, approachable, and collaborative
  • Influential and impactful presentation and communication skills
  • Flexibility, keen to improve organizational effectiveness
  • Excellent presentation and client relationship skills needed in order to facilitate upsell of clinical programs and retain clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong focus on book of business client satisfaction and client retention results
  • Demonstrated ability managing projects, utilizing proven project management processes
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to proactively communicate and to resolve issues with the highest sense of urgency.

  • Ability to learn multiple internal reporting and analytic tools for client management.
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 15%.
