About Our Client

Our client is a licensed indoor cannabis cultivation operation located in Eastport, Maine. The facility operates using LED lighting and aeroponic systems, with a strong focus on precision, plant quality, operational efficiency, and consistency.

This is a lean, performance-driven operation. The selected candidate will be the sole cultivation lead, responsible for independently managing all day-to-day plant and environmental operations.
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, designed to ensure alignment in performance, reliability, and operational standards. Strong performance during the temporary period will lead to permanent placement and expanded responsibility.

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly capable Cannabis Plant Manager to independently oversee all aspects of cultivation within a licensed indoor LED-based aeroponic facility.

This is a solo role. There is no cultivation team. The successful candidate must be confident managing plant production, environmental control, and daily cultivation operations without supervision.
The Plant Manager will maintain full control of grow room environments, oversee plants from propagation through harvest, assist with packaging, and handle routine cultivation-related equipment care.

Key Responsibilities
Cultivation & Plant Health
  • Independently manage all plant stages: propagation, vegetative growth, flowering, and harvest
  • Monitor plant health daily and proactively address nutrient, environmental, or stress-related issues
  • Mix and manage nutrient solutions for aeroponic systems
  • Execute canopy management including training, trellising, pruning, defoliation, and hand trimming
  • Optimize cultivar-specific environments to maximize yield and quality


Environmental Control
- Fully manage grow room environments including:
Temperature
Humidity
VPD
CO₂
Airflow
Lighting schedules
- Make real-time environmental adjustments based on plant response
- Monitor and log environmental data for performance consistency
- Configure and manage LED lighting schedules (fixture repair not required)

Irrigation & Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain and monitor aeroponic irrigation systems
- Perform minor troubleshooting and upkeep, including:
Pumps
Drain lines
Valves
Filters
Basic plumbing adjustments
- Identify and escalate larger mechanical issues to ownership or external service providers

Harvest & Post-Harvest Equipment Care
- Operate and oversee harvest-related equipment including:
Trimming machines
Separation machines
Post-harvest processing equipment
- Clean, break down, reassemble, and properly store equipment
- Maintain sanitary and organized processing areas
- Ensure all equipment is ready for each harvest cycle
Mechanical repair is not required—proper care and operational readiness is.

IPM & Sanitation
  • Implement and execute Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies
  • Conduct routine scouting and preventative treatments
  • Maintain strict cleanliness and biosecurity protocols


Packaging & Product Handling
  • Assist with trimming, processing, and packaging
  • Ensure product handling meets quality and compliance standards
  • Maintain organized storage of finished product and supplies


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to hand trim for extended periods
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Reach, bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods
  • Work in warm, humid environments
  • No physical limitations restricting manual plant work
