In this role, you will ensure accurate and efficient management of financial processes and collaborate with the Director of Research Administration to maintain the Institute's financial health.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span><br><br><span><strong>Financial Management & Reporting :</strong></span><ul><li>Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for all Institute projects in collaboration with the Director of Research Administration.</li><li>Assist with the creation of budgets and financial documentation for new grant proposals.</li><li>Provide regular financial reports and updates to the Institute Director and leadership, including monthly and quarterly tracking.</li><li>Track financial activities across the Institute and address concerns or inquiries as needed.</li></ul><span><strong>Invoicing, Contracts & Compliance:</strong></span><ul><li>Review and process invoices from external subcontractors for allowability and accuracy, ensuring payments are processed within North Carolina State University systems.</li><li>Assist Contracts and Grants in generating invoices for current awards.</li><li>Manage invoicing for Institute membership dues.</li><li>Coordinate with Contracts & Grants fiscal managers to ensure compliance with financial protocols.</li></ul><span><strong>Award & Project Coordination:</strong></span><ul><li>Oversee the setup and closeout of new and existing awards, ensuring proper financial documentation and tracking.</li><li>Maintain an understanding of all accounts within the Institute's portfolio and assist with award tracking and closure.</li><li>Track cost share requirements and maintain documentation as necessary by working closely with 3rd party cost share providers.</li></ul><span><strong>Procurement & Reconciliation:</strong></span><ul><li>Order supplies for Institute project PIs and manage the P-card, including monthly reconciliation and reporting of expenses.</li><li>Perform monthly reconciliation of all active projects to ensure compliance.</li></ul><span>This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the Institute's financial health while working closely with engaged leadership in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
