You will provide engineering support in the NBC Sports facility within the IBC in Milan and will be part of the Engineering Team for NBC Olympics in country. The position requires both hands-on technical skills, as well as interpersonal skills to effectively work with our engineering and operational partners in the IBC, Stamford, Connecticut headquarters, and with Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS).<br /> <br /> Responsibilities:<br /> • Provide on-site support with varying general technical maintenance responsibilities during NBC space infrastructure build-out prior to Games time, during and after for the decommissioning of the NBC space in the IBC<br /> • Involvement with drawing reviews during the Design Development Phases to understand gaps and omissions in the design<br /> • Assist with installations of NBC's on-site Security System in the IBC<br /> • Multitask and work in tandem with technical and construction engineering teams<br /> • Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports, ordering supplies and equipment<br /> • Flexible to assist other NBC trades/vendors (if requested), with Technical (Signal), or possibly power cable installations<br /> • Work shift ''watch coverage'' and liaise between NBC on-shift management and Olympics/OBS Facilities Management, for NBC facilities related issues<br /> Qualifications<br /> Basic Requirements:<br /> • Knowledge and experience of maintaining a facility<br /> • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications<br /> • Able to work shifts and flexible with performing construction related duties<br /> • Knowledge and experience with reading Architectural and Engineering construction drawings and specifications<br /> • Ability to stand for extended periods, maneuver in tight spaces, and perform fine motor tasks<br /> • Ability to work on elevated surfaces with certification to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, scissors, or boom lifts<br /> • Able to travel and work out of State/Country for long durations around time NBC is building infrastructure of the IBC space prior to the Olympics, during the Games and for the decommissioning/Load-out at the IBC<br /> • Experienced and able to utilize basic construction tools and equipment such as power construction equipment (drills), measuring devices and testing equipment<br /> <br /> Desired Characteristics:<br /> • Solid social and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse groups, technical Engineers, construction teams and Olympics senior management levels<br /> • Business Fluent (written and spoken) in English<br /> Additional Requirements:<br /> • Willingness to work remote during pre-Olympic period and willingness to work onsite in Milan, Italy closer to Olympics Gamestime<br /> • Willingness to travel internationally<br /> • Must be able to work assigned hours, including evenings and weekends.
