Bioinformatics Scientist II, Companion Diagnostics

What we are looking for The Bioinformatics Scientist II will be most successful at Labcorp with: Experience and Education Requirements: • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field. Experience may be substituted for education. • 5+ years of post-degree bioinformatics experience working on NGS assays are required, including but not limited to RNA-Seq, WGS, WES, or targeted panels. • Full comfort working in a *nix-based, command line environment. Bash or other scripting skills are essential. • 5+ years of scientific programming using Python and/or R. • Proficiency in statistical analysis methodologies. • Demonstrated ability to design, code, and validate analysis pipelines. Preferred Qualifications are as follows: • Experience with WDL, CWL, or other workflow development languages. • Experience with implementing workflows in a cloud environment. • Experience with Jira, Git and Oracle Agile PML strongly preferred. • Experience in IVD product development, including design control, strongly preferred.
