Job Title: Assistant Manager/Manager (Safety & Health)<br><br>Posting Start Date: 08/01/2026<br><br><strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><ul><li> Responsible for safety & health and Fire Safety management system in compliance with Workplace Safety & Health Act, Fire Safety Act and NUS Safety & Health and Fire Safety requirements</li><li> Establish a framework for legal & statutory compliance through assessing the applicability of safety & health legal requirements and regulated chemicals, as well as departmental related licenses</li><li> Provide technical guidance on safety & health requirements, including proposing measures based on hierarchy of controls</li><li> Including safety & health controls on the use of flammable and hazardous gases, exhaust and abatement systems, GCs and VMBs etc.</li><li> Provide support to college level safety & health programmes and processes, including Secretariat for Department and College level S&H committee meetings</li><li> Manage laboratory/ Workshop commissioning and decommissioning</li><li> Assisting the license holders in maintaining and updating regulatory & statutory licenses and documentation for compliance. Oversee all internal audits and reports for compliance.</li><li> Conduct regular safety & health inspections and organize Safety & Health activities and events</li><li> Review, implement, monitor, and coordinate Safety & Health emergency preparedness. Including Fire drills/exercises and TTX.</li><li> Ad Hoc duties as required by the Department and Safety Committee<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Degree in Engineering, HSE or Chemistry or related subject.
