Responsibilities include patrolling the company's properties via vehicle and foot, providing mobile security support as directed by the security operations center, serving as a security operator at a static front desk post, ensuring only authorized personnel enter the site, deterring and responding appropriately to security threats, maintaining professional conduct, and ensuring compliance with California laws and regulations regarding armed security services.<br><br><strong>As an Armed Security Guard (Full-Time), here's the work you will do:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Conduct regular patrols of the assigned property to prevent security breaches, identify safety hazards, and maintain visibility to deter unwanted activity. </li><li>Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect property, control access points, and allow authorized entry. </li><li>Respond to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and unusual incidents promptly and appropriately. </li><li>Enforce rules, regulations, and company policies, ensuring compliance by employees, visitors, and contractors. </li><li>Document daily activities, incidents, irregularities, and safety hazards through detailed written reports. <br><br></li></ul><strong>This role is for you if you have these skills:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Technologically proficient</li><li>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. </li><li>Understanding of security best practices, including threat assessment, access control, and emergency response procedures. </li><li>Knowledge of firearm safety protocols and proper use of force guidelines. </li><li>Proficiency in operating surveillance equipment, radios, and other security-related technology. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to remain calm and effectively respond in stressful or emergency situations. </li><li>Ability to maintain vigilance and attention to detail during patrols and static posts. <br><br></li></ul><strong>And These Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required. </li><li>2 years of armed security experience PREFERRED but not required!</li><li>Ability to meet all role-specific requirements, including successful completion of reference and background checks, drug testing, a fitness-for-duty evaluation by a designated medical provider, possession of a valid driver's license, receipt and verification of a valid state-issued armed security guard license, and completion of any required job-specific training. </li><li>Preferred: CPR/First Aid/AED certification</li><li>Preferred: Armed security license from the State of California. </li><li>Preferred: Law enforcement or military experience<br><br></li></ul><em>In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $45-45/hr.
