Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee and review personal and corporate income tax returns, Notice to Reader financial statements, and other routine tax filings.
  • Manage relationships between our clients and our team.
  • Manage workflow internally as well as with the tax team by providing them with daily guidance, coaching, and development of their tax knowledge.
  • Work directly with Partners to complete tax research, reorganizations, and ad-hoc consulting engagements as required.
  • Responsible for identifying and resolving engagement issues.

A successful candidate will have:

  • 6+ years of private company public accounting experience.
  • Strong corporate and personal taxation knowledge.
  • Computer skills including Caseware and ProFile.
  • Strong understanding of a client-focused environment including related deadlines and the ability to work to meet those deadlines.
  • Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and to effectively manage a team.
  • Be adaptable to learning new technologies and processes to help improve efficiency and provide a better user experience for our clients.

Software Skills Required
  • Learn new technology that can be used in increasing efficiency on files and providing a better overall user experience for our clients.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $80,000 – $130,000 per year
