<strong>Description<br><br></strong>Bloomsbury Academic Publishing is seeking an editorial intern for our Greenbelt, Maryland office during the Spring/Summer 2026 term. The academic division commissions titles in a broad range of subject areas, including Literary Studies, Communication Studies, and Politics.<br><br>We Are a Small Team, And Our Interns Are a Key Part Of Our Day-to-day Operations. As a Bloomsbury Academic Editorial Intern, You Will Work With The Editorial Team On a Variety Of Projects That Reflect The Diverse Aspects Of Academic Publishing<br><br><ul><li>Manage departmental shipping</li><li>Manage submissions to the Library of Congress program</li><li>Update data systems as needed</li><li>Complete administrative support tasks for peer review</li><li>Complete course, academic, and picture research</li><li>Coordinate cover design and copy between editorial and design departments<br><br></li></ul>Opportunities to take on other editorial projects may also arise.<br><br><strong>Duration<br><br></strong>March 2, 2026 – August 31, 2026<br><br><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong>We are looking for a creative and motivated individual who ideally has the following skills:<br><br><ul><li>High level of familiarity with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook)</li><li>Firm grasp of grammar and spelling, with a keen eye for detail</li><li>Ability to work efficiently and independently</li><li>Strong communication skills suitable for a fast-paced, professional environment<br><br></li></ul>We require a commitment of 15-20 hours per week for the entire internship term. Scheduling is flexible, but work should occur during standard business hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST.<br><br>This position pays $18.00/hour, and candidates may wish to arrange for college credit for the placement to supplement.<br><br><strong>Location:<br><br></strong>This position requires two in-office days per week at our office in Greenbelt, Maryland.
